Hydrating Your Skin Inside & Out = Beautiful, Healthy Skin!

According to Read and Digest, our skin is the largest organ in the body and has a chemical composition of about 70% water. “We need to consume at least eight 8-ounce glasses of plain, filtered water every day to maintain the critical moisture balance of the body and skin and to assist in detoxification” (The International Dermal Institute). The consumption of caffeine is also dehydrating as it is a diuretic – sorry coffee lovers! Coffee does have great benefits too, so this can be offset by simply drinking more water. Year-round hydration is crucial for our skin and our bodies, especially in the warmer weather.
